KILLINIQ (CANADA)

€25.00

The illustration of Killiniq from the "Begimugan" series traces the route from Donosti to distant landscapes by sea. In black and white, with superimposed layers and textures, the work portrays the small, remote island of Killiniq in northeastern Canada. The sea horizon blends with history: in 1959, the Inuit community Taqpangajuk reclaimed the settlement, but twenty years later, the Canadian government expelled the last 49 inhabitants due to precarious living conditions. A visual representation that fuses landscape and memory.
